Blessings

I was blessed today by Emma's desire to help out in the kitchen during lunch.  She has recently learned how to cook eggs and toast over the stove, and loves the opportunity to do so.  When we got home from the gym and I announced that I needed to make lunch, Emma jumped out of the car and said "I'll do it!" and ran inside to get started.

It is such a blessing as a Mom to see my kids learn new skills.  But even more so, it is amazing to see their hearts develop with love for each other, a desire to be helpful, and pride in doing so. 

By the way, I'm feeling like I'm slowly climbing out of this homeschool-cave I've been in.  I might actually be finding some balance, and - gasp! - even update my blog a little more regularly.
