Chelan and Camping

We spent the long weekend in Chelan with family at my dad's lake house. This was a little bit smaller group than normal this year. My brother and sister-in-law were busy having a baby(!), so they were no-shows. But we got to enjoy their two older kids for part of the weekend. Emma really enjoyed spending time with her cousins.

The weather was HOT the whole weekend, so we all donned our official uniforms (bathing suits) for most of the time. We are so spoiled there, with always having to make tough decisions like whether to swim, go wakeboarding, enjoy a leisurely boat ride, soak in the hot tub, sip champagne on the deck, or curl up in front of one of the large tv's and watch a movie or play a video game. We did all of that (except for wakeboarding, I'm sad to say) with an occasional card game, trip to the driving range, and game of water-homerun-derby thrown in. What a blast!

We got home late Tuesday night, just in time to watch the fireworks on our street. Now I am busy unpacking, doing laundry, and re-packing for going camping tomorrow! We are camping up in the mountains this weekend with friends from church. No rest for the weary. I love Summer!
