Since we ended up saving gas money by not camping, we decided to splurge on a patio fire bowl. May as well bring the camping experience to us! We still had a fun weekend by having friends over to BBQ and roast marshmallows.

Backyard Camping
Well, our much anticipated camping trip turned out to be just that -- anticipated. But it never happened. Unfortunately, AFTER I had completely packed everything - clothes, food, supplies - we found out that too many families had backed out, so we cancelled the trip. I was pretty bummed, and for a while even considered pitching our tent in our back yard.
