Dossier: Almost done

Wow - we are getting really close to being done with our Dossier. Today I will be picking up the notarized letters from the police department and Brian's doctor; then we will have all of the notarized documents in hand. Yesterday I sent off documents to the Washington and Idaho Secretary of State offices for authentication. As of right now there are only TWO things left to be completed as part of our Dossier: the completed homestudy (will be done some time after the 21st) and our passport photos. I will be taking our photos tonight and sending them off to be printed (we need 8 copies of each).

We are figuring about four more weeks (or less) for the Dossier to be complete and in the hands of our agency. The agency will then send the Dossier to Ethiopia, which is when the process truly "begins". I am not sure how long it will take to go through all the government channels, but I am thinking that we could possibly have a baby referral in as soon as 8 weeks. That is my prayer, at least. Please pray too!

**A little side note: at our church prayer meeting on Saturday night (we weren't there, unfortunately) our pastor's wife felt a strong burden from the Holy Spirit to pray for a couple who is adopting from a foreign country. She felt that this couple will be receiving a girl, and that her name will be "Heaven" and she will be a tremendous blessing. Our friends who were there and heard that, thought of us and told us about it on Sunday morning. Sunday evening we were at a church event and shared our situation with our pastor's wife. She asked if she could pray with us, and when she did, she told us that she was having the same "feeling" again. So, it will be interesting to see if we are the couple God has chosen to raise little Heaven.
