Last week's re-cap

Last week was a huge week for Emma (and busy for me).  Tuesday was the last day of school for the kids.  That day we went to Emma's school for her Kindergarten performance and graduation.  We were treated to a performance of singing by all the Kindergarten classes, in which Emma was selected to play the percussion sticks during one song.  She took her job very seriously and did a great job keeping the beat.

Next we went into her classroom for her graduation ceremony.  Each student was honored by the teacher, and read a message written by their parents.  I have to admit I couldn't hold the tears back during that part.

Emma completely loved Kindergarten.  We are so proud of her.

Class of 2022.  Crazy!

She's now a First-grader!

Outside, an Apache helicopter was in the field for the kids to look at.  Then we all surrounded the field as the helicopter took off.  What an impressive sight!

Later in the week was Emma's Tap recital.  She took a combination ballet/tap class all year, and for the recital got to perform a tap routine.  The girls looked so cute all dolled up and grooving to their scat music.

Back-stage, getting ready.

Checking herself out.

The excitement is building as the girls wait for their turn.

Pretty little dancers killing time.

Emma getting used to the lights during rehearsal.

In the back center, nailing her part!

The whole group.

Backstage there is a professional photographer.  I never pay for their shots and just snap one of my own.  That's okay, right?

Your family is proud of you, Emma!  Great job!
