Emma's Room - After Pics

I know most of you have been crying yourselves to sleep at night wondering why I haven't made good on my promise to post "after" pictures of Emma's room.  "It's been over a year!", you'd cry, followed by "how much more can I take?"  Well, my Peeps, the waiting has come to an end.

So, feast your eyes on this!  Just kidding.  It's nothing too impressive.  Just kidding.  It's pretty nice.  Just kidding.  It's not nice at all.  Just kidding.  (Anyone else see that SNL skit and think it was really funny?  Me neither.  Just kidding.)

View from the entry.  The fabrics were updated to a more "big girl" look, flowers were added to the wall, and the bed was raised to make room for a sleepover mattress.

Looking the other direction from the entry.

This dresser is a new addition.  We picked it up at a garage sale for $5 last year.  Then we removed the layers of hot-pink and aqua-blue paint, and sprayed it to match the other furniture.

We ordered the glass drawer pulls from Target, and they are much prettier and sturdier than I expected for the price.

On top of the dresser is a miniature tea set Emma picked out when we were in Colonial Williamsburg last year...

...and also a picture of my Grandmother, and behind that her Grandmother (Emma's Great-Great-Great Grandmother).

Here on the wall we have vinyl frames displaying precious photos and artwork of Emma's.  I love the idea of these removable, reusable sticker-frames, although they just aren't strong enough against Emma's crinkled masterpieces, so we are constantly re-sticking them to the wall.

We have two of these flower hooks, which I painted a few years ago.  One is for Emma's night gowns and one is for her backpack.

The display on Emma's bedside table.

I moved the bookshelf to underneath the window which created a nice reading area next to the bed.

Here's a close up of the beloved chandelier.  It's still cute, but I think I might be getting over it.  What do you think?
