Winter Ball

Last night Emma and Brian went to the father/daughter Winter Ball, put on by Emma's ballet school. It was quite the evening with dancing, dinner, dessert, live and silent auctions, and more. A couple months ago when we first told Emma she would get to go, her words were "I can't believe I get to go to a real ball!"

Emma got ready with a few friends, then Brian picked her up. Good Dad that he is, he met her at the door with flowers in hand, and her purse that I had forgotten in another. They had a wonderful time together dancing and browsing the auction items. When they got home, Emma was just lit up, and reported that one of her favorite parts of the evening was the chocolate fountain.

What fun! I am jealous, I never had the chance of a father-daughter ball! I bet she had the time of her life! She is so beautiful!

This is so darling. Emma looks like a little doll up there by the fireplace.
