I'm back from a long girl's weekend in Seattle. (Okay, I've been back a few days now.) All four kids and I drove over last week. I dropped the kids off with my parents (except Noah, who stayed with me) and headed over to my friend-since-we-were-14, Tracy's house for GIRL TIME!
I have recently become a huge proponent of "girl time". I think it is so refreshing and healthy to get away from the house and remember that I am not only a wife and a mom, but I'm also still a FRIEND. Mind you, I love my husband and kids dearly, and I think it makes me better at what I do when I get a little break.
So Tracy and I had tons of fun. We watched TV, worked out, went to Starbucks, shopped, ate out, even checked out the new casino and went to a karaoke bar! And no, I didn't do all that with Noah strapped to my front like Brian pictured (could you imagine?!), Tracy's parents offered to watch him for an evening. "You have a baby! In a bar!" (Quick: name that movie.)
So, here's to a fun weekend. And to more Girl Time!
