8 Years ago...

...I said the two most important words of my life. "I do."

I'm not going to bore you with the rest of our vows that each of us memorized, but just so you know, I still remember them!

I remember our Pastor telling us in our pre-marital classes that years down the road, we would be MORE in love with each other, have BETTER communication, MORE fun, etc., but I'm not sure I believed it was possible.

I'm here to tell you that it DOES get better each year. I think the world wants us to believe that marriages can't be successful. And by successful, I mean last a lifetime. I remember reading a headline once, titled "they made it!" regarding Julia Roberts celebrating her one-year wedding anniversary. How sad, that getting to one year is considered "making it".

Brian, I am so thankful that 8 years ago you went from being my best friend, to my life-long love. And I am so proud that we get to model the value of marriage to our children. I love you!
