I feel like I'm in labor right now - the "fun" part of labor, where you are totally ready, can't wait to meet your child, and sort of actually enjoy those first few contractions. I realize this is only pre-labor, as my actual, 39-hour labor begins at 6:45 tomorrow morning. I think women would stop having babies if they knew in advance their labors would be 39 hours. Anyway...
Nesting totally cracks me up for some reason. I remember being about 8 months pregnant with Emma, settling down for bed with Brian at about 11:00 PM, then jumping out of bed with the insane urge to vacuum. To Brian's dismay I would actually follow-through with the urge, and there I would be, vacuuming all around the bed as he rolled his eyes and laughed at me.
Today I had to laugh at myself as I was washing our house - literally washing the siding with a hose. It's been on my mental to-do list for quite a while now, and I just could NOT have our son come home to dirty siding. Or walkway. Or patio. Or driveway...

Hi Shana,
I posted on a blog site asking if anyone has ever traveled to Addis while pregnant and someone sent me to your blog. I'm about 4 weeks and I am supposed to travel to Ethiopia in October to help my sister bring her baby back. I'm curious about how you feel about traveling there while pregnant. Are you nervous? Vaccinations? What was your doctor's advice? I've never been to Ethiopia so I dont know what to expect. Any info would be appreciated. I don't see my dr until the end of the month....
You have a great blog and I'll be sure to follow it for the rest of your journey. Feel free to PM me at momnewtwo@yahoo.com Thank you!
