First day home alone

Brian went off to work today, which meant my first day home alone with both kids. It has been such a glorious day! First off, after his 6 AM bottle and taking a while to settle back down, Isaiah slept until 8:30! Emma got up just a little before that, giving us a few minutes of quality time. Then the morning turned into a beautifully choreographed routine of bottle, breakfast, bath for Isaiah, nap for Isaiah, bath for Emma, craft time for Emma and a shower for me!

Somewhere in there I also found time for a couple loads of laundry, cleaning two toilets, and even putting on makeup! I was on a roll and just loving it. Emma and I also got to spend about 45 minutes playing "grocery shopping" in her room, then driving around in the pretend "car" in the living room. Right when I finished making Emma's lunch, Isaiah woke up happy (and hungry) from a 2 1/2 hour nap.

After lunch and "wearing" Isaiah while I vacuumed, both kids are now down for their afternoon naps. What a day! I'm happy and exhausted!

Yahoo!!! One day down! It sounds like Isaiah is such a good little boy! We're so glad that you're home and everyone's adjusting.
I love your "daily reports" of when you were in Ethiopia! Keep them coming!! (as well as pictures!)

you manage to get more done in a day than I do in a week. You are my new super mom hero.

Wow! Sounds like a honeymoon! I'm so glad to hear your first day went great. (I can only hope to be as fortunate!)
