Am I really that old?

This Saturday is my 10-year High School reunion. 10 years. Wow. High school seems like an eternity ago, yet the thought of it actually having been 10 years ago doesn't exactly roll off my brain, either.

I have been looking forward to my reunion for years, and have always been one of those people who says she will for sure be at the reunion. Now, I'm not so sure.

I have RSVP'd, but not paid. I have a dress, but no shoes or accessories. I have a plane ticket to get me into town, but no ride arranged to the reunion. Can you tell I am conflicted?

I have been closely watching our online reunion RSVP list, scanning the names for people I really care to see. Problem is, there just aren't that many. Sure there are a few I would like to catch up with, but is it worth 120 bucks? If it was really worth that much to me, wouldn't I have kept in touch with these people to begin with?

I am getting my hair colored tomorrow, and I will probably even pack my dress in my suitcase. Chances are that's where it will stay.

I know, reunions are so funny. I've not been out for ten years yet (graduated in '99), and while part of me is SO curious to see what other people look like, are doing, etc., I wonder if I'll really want to spend the money and time so I can go make small talk with people all night!

You made it farther than I did! I still check the list to see who's going, but have no desire to actually fly across the country and attend! If you do end up going, I can't wait to hear all about it!
