Why men shouldn't do housework...

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining here, afterall Brian did clean AND mop the kitchen, and vacuum the family room without me even asking. However, what is it about men that can turn a 20 minute project into a 1/2 day ordeal? Then, once they're done, act like no one should be allowed to enter the "preserved" premises?
