Interviews

We have a different social worker, Jenny Mark, who will be conducting our home study interviews and completing the home study. I have an individual interview scheduled for 11:00 on Tuesday, the 7th. We also have our joint interview at 4:30 that day, which will be at our house. Then Brian will need to schedule his individual interview, and then we may have one last follow-up interview (possibly over the phone) to wrap up any final details. Jenny told me that after our joint interview she will give us a list of articles/books we should read to help prepare us for international adoption. The follow up interview would likely be just to make sure we had done our reading, and to see if we had any last questions.

I have heard that the in-home interviews aren't as intimidating as they seem, yet I can already feel myself tensing up about it and making mental checklists. To do: clean the entire house from floor to ceiling; wash all windows and doors; organize all closets; touch-up paint all the walls; inspect all outlets for child-proofing; have air-ducts cleaned...
