'Tis the Season...

Our household has definitely had our share of sickness this month. Emma was sick all last week, and Brian right along with her. Just as they were both getting better almost a week later, Brian came down with a nasty ear infection which kept us both up for two nights. Around that time I came down with a 24-hour (thankfully) bug, and then to top things off Brian has had terrible side-affects from his antibiotics. Despite all that, we are very much enjoying the Christmas season and all that brings, like more excuses to fellowship with friends. We are also highly anticipating Emma's "debut" at this year's children's Christmas program at church! She will be singing three songs along with all the other 2, 3, 4, and 5 year old darlings at the beginning of the program Sunday night. Last night's rehearsal was just a blast for all us parents casually watching from the pews. Emma was most often turned around facing the kids behind her, giving us a lovely view of her back! She also picked just one of the 4 or 5 hand motions for one song and continued it on throughout the entire song, stopping just long enough to spot Brian and exclaim "hi Daddy!". I can't wait to break out all our media equipment and record Sunday's performance for posterity!
