H.S. packet

We received our home study packet in the mail yesterday. There are 13 steps to complete in the packet, and then we can begin the interview process. A lot of the steps are pretty easy, so I have most of them done. Things like medical release forms, child preference survey, financial survey. The things that may take longer and that are out of our control are the background check, references from friends, and sign-offs from our doctors. Another step that may take some time is the autobiography that Brian and I each have to do. We have a suggested outline to follow which will be helpful, but we are expected to go into detail about our childhood, philosophies, religion, parenting style, relationships...and on. This is what gives the social worker a picture of who we really are.
