Help! I hate my couch!

So I have a $50 Pottery Barn gift card burning a hole in my wallet, plus Brian's employee discount. I've waited a long time to decide what to spend the card on, and I think I finally know.

I want to update the look of my family-room sofa. I'm sick of the floral, seen-everywhere Waverly pillows. So I think I could just add some new accent pillows, and hopefully bring "new life" to the room. I like the look of mixing and matching various patterns and prints, but I'm also a bit concerned about having too many pillows on the sofa, since it's already the loose-pillow style. So do I just pick two replacement pillows that I like? Or can I be a little more adventurous and get a few different pillows? Does the rule of "odds" apply here (ie 3 or 5)?

Tired, boring sofa.

Below are pictures of some of the pillows at Pottery Barn that I like. The room has a large, red cabinet in it. Plus a chair and a half with red and green stripes (it's not as Christmas-y as that sounds).
I love this Serafina print!

Pinecone print.

Grid print (I like the green).

Rosa red-flower print.

So, please weigh-in and tell me what you think!

I'd do some Serafina for the couch, a black pinecone for the chair perhaps? and maybe some grid print for the couch as well? I have 4 pillows on my couch...I'm not sure if it would look odd to have an odd number. Check simplygrove for some pics and see what sort of pairings show up in her blog! lol

I love all of them and they all go well together. I don't think you can go wrong. I'm cracking up because my bedroom is the waverly print and I'm getting tired of it too:)

Yay for new pillows! They are all very charming. But definitely go with 3 or 5 for that couch.
