Noah brings such JOY to our lives. Seriously, we should have named him Happy or Smiley or Snugglebugaboo, 'cause that's what he is. Although he also lives up to the meaning of Noah, which means "peace" or "rest". That's exactly how I feel when I hold and snuggle him. Like all the pressures of my day just release when I squeeze him, and all is well again.
Noah is becoming so aware of the people around him, which is so fun for his siblings who love to entertain him. Not so fun for Mom when she's trying to maintain some level of modesty while nursing, only to have Mister Flasher whip his head back just to smile at whomever may have just entered the room. Then there's the whole I'm-going-to-keep-my-head-back-at-this-impossible-angle-until-you-make-eye-contact-and-smile-at-me thing. He's such a people person!
It seems like teeth are in our near-future, as Noah's lower gums seem to be a bit swollen. He was a bit fussy yesterday, but it's hard to know if it's from teething or our crazy-busy schedule this week. Two weeks ago Noah weighed about 18.5 pounds, but he has his official check-up on Monday. Emma weighed over 19 pounds at her 6-month, so we'll see how little brother is keeping pace. :)
*Pic is from a week ago, when Noah took a turn in Isaiah's high chair. He's happy anywhere we put him!
