A day at the park

A friend and I took our kids to the park last week. We thought it would be warm, based on the sunshine and the advice of the weather man, but we were wrong. We still had fun getting some much-needed fresh air.

Emma and her friend, Calvin (who happens to be an avid reader of my blog - hi Cal!) had a blast running from slide to swing to monkey bars and back again. We barely corralled them long enough to shove some food down them. Isaiah, on the other hand, was so hungry that he was content to stay close to the food, so he mostly sat on the picnic table hollering incoherently at the playground and the kids running by (with an occasional audible "Emma" or "Go!").

I am amazed at how grown-up Isaiah is becoming. When he finally did get on the playground he just took off and had a blast. Since when is my little boy old enough to climb up and slide down the slide without any help?
