Divine Appointment

Biniam just rolled into surgery - a little late because the anesthesiologist didn't get the message in time. Turns out, the anesthesiologist has an adopted daughter from Ethiopia - from Layla House of all places! She's been home since last year, and although Biniam's not sure he remembers her, he definitely remembers playing soccer with her dad!

Brian tells me that Biniam has definitely been nervous all morning, but this little encounter has relaxed him and perked him up considerably. In fact, the Dr. is trying to get someone to bring his daughter down to the hospital so she can meet Biniam when he wakes up!
