Just a few updates from the White house.
First of all, Brian's TB test was negative, and he's feeling much better after the round of antibiotics. Praise the Lord! Thanks for all your prayers.
Also in the prayer department, please lift up our family as I head out of state for surgery tomorrow and will be gone through the end of the week. The kids will be home with Brian, Grandma and friends. I would appreciate prayers for everyone, including safety for our unborn son. (I should mention that the purpose of the surgery is to remove a growth that has attached itself to my vocal cords which has been making my voice unrecognizable since April.)
On a lighter note, Isaiah is getting better at walking every day. I have counted as many as 23 steps linked together. He impressed us the other night by walking over to a ball, bending slightly to pick it up, then continuing on for a few more steps. It's been so fun as the whole family rejoices in his progress.
Biniam is doing well in school and got his first report card last week (only reflecting two weeks of school) which showed all A's and B's. We're so proud!
And finally, Emma started ballet lessons last week at a local performing arts school. She and all the other little 3 and 4 year-olds are so cute, and we are greatly looking forward to the recital at the end of May.

Hello! We are another AAI family, and I just wanted to wish you luck on your surgery.
I have followed your blog for awhile now and love reading about your expanding family. We are hoping to pick up our children in December, so I've loved your Ethiopia trip posts lately! Thanks for sharing.
Again, best of luck! I'm sure things will go great!
Yay! Sounds like life is good for you!
We'll keep you in our prayers this week.
Praying!
Love,
Renee
