Then there's Brian, who has been sick pretty much since we got home from Ethiopia. Mostly just a cough, but then loss of appetite and fever were added the last couple of days. So he went to the Dr. today, got a TB test and came home with some antibiotics. The Dr. is pretty much stumped as to what is wrong with Brian, so he is treating for a broad range of things. We will know on Wednesday the results of the TB test. Please pray for NEGATIVE.
Then tonight Emma and I dropped Biniam off at soccer practice and headed to the grocery store. At the store I received a call from an unknown number, and given the hoarseness of my voice these days, decided not to answer. I had a little whisper in the back of my mind that it might have been Biniam's soccer coach, so once I was in the car I called home to see if the coach was trying to get a hold of me, but no. So we pulled up to soccer practice and couldn't see Biniam anywhere. I waited a few minutes, thinking he might be in the restroom, when I finally see him in my rearview mirror, limping to the car. Great. Biniam fell in pain during practice and could hardly bear any weight on his feet. Off to the ER.
As I was sitting in the examining room in the ER, I Mommy-diagnosed Biniam as "faulty equipment", and it turns out I was right. The source of his pain seems to be from huge seams on his shin guards that must cause unbelievable pressure points. So we have a prescription for new gear.
Here's to a better week from here on out.

Thanks for the information on the Honda Odyssey- we also have one and I will make sure to talk to the kids about that! How scary. I am praying for the Negative test.
