It's a...

Boy!!!

We weren't going to find out the sex of the baby, but my doctor needed to due to a possible medical concern (everything's fine) so we found out we're having another boy! Three boys and one girl...I'm suddenly feeling like a minority.

I haven't blogged in a while - life has been getting in the way. We have been home exactly two weeks now, which I can't even believe because so much has been going on. Here are some of the highlights (and one or two lowlights):

1. Grandpa Jim got to stay with us our first four days at home, which was a huge blessing.
2. Four days after coming home we took off on a road trip to Chelan to enjoy the holiday weekend.
3. Isaiah turned one!
4. We followed our long weekend up with a six-day trip to Seattle.
5. We rode on a ferry boat, which all three kids loved.
6. My sister got married.
7. Isaiah got shingles! (Although it is rare in babies the good news is it is not as uncomfortable as for adults.)
8. Biniam met more family members than he can count, and loves to be the life of the party.
9. Biniam had his first soccer practice which made a great evening family outing.

So, things have been busy with no end in sight. This week we are getting Biniam's pictures taken, registering him for school, planning his birthday party (he turns 13 on Thursday!) attending a few social engagements and whatever else life brings us. It's good to be home!

Congratulations, Shana! I am glad to hear that the medical concern turned out to be a non-issue. I bet that was a relief!

Lots of love.

I also enjoy a house full of boys, so I am completely biased! I am so thrilled for you guys ~ especially for Isaiah! Hope you enjoyed watching Evan and Brian as kids or my two little guys wrestling in the grass last weekend, dodging blows from croquet mallets ... with so few months between them, Isaiah and Baby Boy will surely be best buds and best competition! It was great to see you this past weekend! Glad to hear you made it home safe and sound and are off and running in the next stage of life, with Biniam home! Love you! jen

Congratulations!! I am so excited for you, but I feel bad for Emma, being the only girl...then again , now she will really be the princess! I can't wait to start on your baby surprises!
