We got the news very early this morning that unfortunately our case didn't pass court on Wednesday. The explanation we were given is that "The court is frequently asking for a variety of updated documents for children who have been in care for quite some time."
I have heard that the courts have been changing their requirements so frequently that it is very hard to be completely prepared with everything they might ask for.
We have been given a new court date of next Wednesday, and our attorney in Ethiopia is busy pulling together the additional paperwork. No word yet on how/if this will affect our travel date.

Shana -- Ugh! I am SO sorry to hear this. Hopefully, everything will be in order next Wednesday -- but I imagine it's going to be a long week in any case.

Shana, I'm sorry. That happened to us too, so I know what it's like. It's heartbreaking, but once they get the additional paperwork around, it should go through just fine.
