What happens in Vegas....

I'm sure you all know the rest of that line. "....stays in Vegas".

I am not a big fan of that marketing campaign. In fact, I downright despise it. What good can come out of encouraging people to do things they typically wouldn't do, or that are just plain immoral?

Anyway, we got back from Vegas late Tuesday night, and we did have a good time. Although I have seen enough naked girls on flyers (literally thousands scattered on the ground) and breathed enough 2nd-hand smoke to last me a good while.

Some highlights were seeing all the lights and beautiful hotels, hanging out by the pool, and eating great food. Probably my favorite sight was the fountain show at the Bellagio.

I do have to admit we did some gambling while we were there. Brian and I both played poker at a couple casinos. That was my first time playing for "real", and I surprisingly wasn't too nervous. Even after losing all my money. Twice. But the third time, when I finally started winning - that's when I got nervous. But it was fun, and I'd do it again.

As for Vegas, I would go back again. But not for a while, and NEVER with my kids.

Our hotel room bathroom. The sink, shelves and doors were all frosted glass that "glowed" when the lights were on. Notice the TV embedded in the mirror!

Haven't made it to Vegas yet. We went on a cruise to Mexico last year and oh my goodness, my eyes were absolutely bloodshot by about the second day from the second hand smoke. Yick!
