Wow. What an amazing resource God has brought to us. Through our social worker, we have become acquainted with a family here, the "Owlhavens", who have EIGHT kids - four of them are adopted, and two are from Ethiopia! Not only are they familiar with the whole process we are about to embark on, they also highly recommend the agency they used (AAI). What a relief it is to have personal recommendations from both the social worker perspective and the family perspective.
The "Owlhavens" have a website with detailed accounts of their adoption experiences. Brian and I spent quite a while yesterday reading one of the Ethiopian accounts, and through the detailed writing we could actually picture ourselves there. We can hardly wait!
