Christmas 2005

We had a wonderful Christmas this year - and a full house! Brian's parents were here for 9 days, and his brother for 3 days. On Christmas day we also had my Mom, Dave, Grandma and Myram; plus about 7 other stop-in visitors.

We started the day by going to church; then came home and had dutch babies; opened stockings; and finally started opening presents. There were so many presents under our tree that the entire living room was full - thank goodness we had already planned on hanging out in the family room. In fact, we didn't finish opening presents until 9:30 PM! We all received many wonderful gifts - a few of our favorites were probably: miter saw and drill for Brian, new digital camera for Shana, and a betta fish we call "Nemo" for Emma (although there are probably too many favorites to pick just one). Dinner was a beautiful prime rib with yummy side dishes, and way too much pie!

Brian's parents just left this afternoon, so now begins the task of slowly returning our house back to normal. I am sad to see the holidays go, but also very much looking forward to what next year will bring. :)
